The Best Games of E3

So with the sting of E3 still in all our minds and the anticipation of all the great games that are coming our way for the Next Gen Consoles us gamers are at a high buzz. What games are we most excited for and were we impressed from what we saw? Well these are a few of my favorite games of E3 sections from Xbox One, Ps4 and Multiplatform.

Xbox One

Now i thought what we were shown at E3 was brilliant. A world in which you create and can change as the game plays. From what was seen at E3 they created a town square and a number of characters were created and there was an awesome fight against goblins. But as you play you can control the world and create things to your advantage and it really did look like a very creative and fantastic game.

It was only a small taste but they have said you can create massive environments creating a number of characters with personalities and enemies to fight so there is a number of possibilities on how you can play this game, exclusively for Xbox One.

Ps4

Being a fan of the infamous series it was fantastic to finally see some gameplay in action for the new installment. This Infamous is an open world game and sees you take control of the character Delsin Rowe who has been described as a much different character from previous Cole Macgrath. He has similar power abilities however this time with smoke and its very interesting to see how it will fully work in the game.

Rowe differs greatly form Macgrath as he takes the role of the hero with confidence and has amoe arrogant side than the previous character. Not much has been told about the story but what we saw from E3 will have the fans ecstatic for the release, exclusive to Ps4.

Multiplatform

There were two games that have got us talking from E3 and the two of my favorites, as i could not just pick one included:

YES. FINALLY. GAMEPLAY. At E3 we were finally presented with some gameplay of how Destiny will look and it looked awesome. Slick graphics and a nice open world you can explore fully online with friends and others. The Demo we received was nice and really showed off what we can expect from the game and it has everyone buzzing and can potentially be one of the best games if it all works.

Heres a wee screen shot of the game as the two players went in to fight a tank like robot and everything that happened just looked beautiful. Also from the gameplay it was clear that it  took a big approach and i think will be a big part of the game and that thing is  loot. After they defeated the enemies they received a bunch of loot from weapons and some sort of currency probably that can be used in the game. Loot seems to be a big thing with games as people love it and it gives them a sense of purpose in the game. But what we seen from the game was brilliant.

Moving on to my favorite game of E3 and it came as a surprise to everyone and was kept very well under the radar for the event.

Now i dont think anyone saw this little gem coming and thats exactly what it was, an absolute gem. An online open world game in a post apocalyptic setting which just looked amazing. We saw at E3 a few players roaming the world and were attack by assumingly other online players at a run down building site.

This is a big game and we dont know too much about it, but it takes the theme of previous tom clancy games such as ghost recon which i personally love and enters in a beautifully run down and crumbling world. Hopefully we will see more to come with the next few months but this is a game that personally i will anticipate until its release.

Ps4 Vs Xbox One

So with Ps4 showing a teaser video on the 20th of May of what the console may look like and Xbox One revealing there console on the 21st of May its clear that the Next Gen consoles really are round the corner.

Today I'm just going to break everything down and show what each can offer, also showing a list of games that have been confirmed for each.

Obviously there will still be the divide of what console is better but both companies did take different methods in how they presented the consoles. Ps4 took the approach of getting developers out and speaking about what games there going to be making and how you can share game play clips through social media and PSN. Where Xbox took the approach to present the amount of features they have. Including how they can skype and watch tv on the console. So it seems that Ps4 is more based for gaming and the Xbox is more of an entertainment system than a games consoles in my view.

The Differences

Shown below will be a list of Features that each have and the difference between them.

Feature                  PlayStation 4                    Xbox One

Optical Drive          Blu-Ray/DVD                    Blu-Ray/DVD

A/v Hookups            HDMI                               HDMI

As you can see from the specification there is not much difference. I think the defining factor of what console will be better will be the games that are brought out for each console. Obviously you will have the games like COD and Fifa and the likes of Watch dogs that will be made for both consoles but its the exclusives that will separate which one will be better. However there is also a preference in peoples opinions on what they want from there console. If they want it for an entertainment system for the likes of using it for Tv services Xbox would be the way forward or if they want a gaming console Playstation may be your preference. As i do feel Playstation 4 is more of a gaming console.

Games, Games, Games

Below is a list of the games that have been confirmed for each console.

PS4:

  • Deep Down (Capcom)
  • Destiny (Bungie)
  • Diablo III (Blizzard Entertainment)
  • DriveClub (Evolution Studios)
  • Final Fantasy (Sqaure Enix)
  • Infamous: Second Son (Sucker Punch)
  • Killzone: Shadow Fall (Guerrilla Games)
  • Sniper Elite 3 (505 Games)
  • Knack (Studios Japan)
  • Thief (Square Enix)
  • Watch Dogs (Ubisoft)
  • War Thunder (Gaijin Entertainment)
  • The Witch Hunter 3 (CD Projekt RED)
  • The Witness (Thekla)
  • Black Light Retribution (Zombie Studios)
  • Primal Carnage (Lukewarm Media)
  • Assasin Creed 4 ( Ubisoft)
These are the games that have been confirmed from the Ps4 Reveal

Xbox One:
  • Assassins Creed 4 (Ubisoft)
  • Battlefield 4 (EA)
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts (Infinity Ward)
  • Destiny (Bungie)
  • Fifa 14 (EA)
  • Forza Motorsport (Turn10)
  • Madden 25 (EA)
  • NBA Live 14 (EA)
  • Quantum Break (Remedy Entertainment)
  • Thief (Edios Studios)
  • UFC (EA)
  • Watch Dogs (Ubisoft)
These Games were confirmed on the Xbox Reveal

With the likes of Fifa and Cod these will be made for both consoles. So from the reveal there is a big difference in the amount of games that have been announced. Ps4 have announced more exclusive content that will only be available to them in a gaming sense. As stated before i do feel Xbox is more of an entertainment system and Ps4 is more of a Gaming console. This really is only the start of the Next Gen consoles and much more will be shown over the coming months so there will be a great deal of time to decide which console will be for you if any.

But the rivalry between both consoles is far from over and lets be honest even when released and the figures show how many are sold the argument of what console is better will always be as strong as ever. It really is down to a personal preference in which you like better. Be it for an entertainment system or a gaming console its still to be decided. However I'm sure both consoles will shine in there own way and present different features and games to make them unique. With both being released for later this year speculation on what will be better will be a fun and passionate argument for many years to come.

What console do you think will be better ?
